We are located in Dalton-in-Furness, a beautiful part of the UK close to the sea and only a short drive to the lakes and mountains of The Lake District.

I have always lived in the Furness Peninsula and now share my life with my partner, our two Cypriot cats, and our dog…who is the laziest dog I’ve ever met, and the inspiration for our company name!

I’ve been making cigar box guitars, as a hobby, for a few years. In January 2023, I decided that I wanted to spend what years I had left doing something I enjoyed, took ‘early retirement’ and started making musical instruments full time.

I am keen on sustainability and the cigar box guitar concept enables me to think out of the box and reuse or up-cycle wherever possible, as you’ll see from some of my more unusual projects!

All the cigar box guitars I make are unique – there are no two the same. I can also custom make them to your specification.
